On July 1, 2025, at the Khon Kaen Provincial Community Hall, Governor Khachon Kiat Rukpanichmon, accompanied by Deputy Governor Yuttana Pothiwihok and Chokchay Srihinpruttan, welcomed and provided guidance to newly appointed local government officials reporting for duty in Khon Kaen Province before they proceed to their assigned organizations. Of the 79 candidates selected for the third round of local government appointments in Khon Kaen, 77 reported for duty while 2 forfeited their positions. The newly appointed officials will be assigned to 44 local administrative organizations across 21 districts in Khon Kaen Province.
The governor encouraged all new officials to perform their duties with discipline and integrity, urging them to prioritize public interest and serve citizens faithfully despite any challenges they may encounter.
Ms. Pattarin Nong Nong, 40, from Ban Ruea Subdistrict, Phu Wiang District, Khon Kaen Province, was among those who passed. She expressed pride and happiness that her dedication had paid off. After working in the private sector for decades, she studied for the exam using time after work and successfully passed on her first attempt. She earned an appointment as a Revenue Management Specialist at Na Kham Subdistrict Municipality in Ubon Ratchathani Province.
She emphasized that her success came from persistent effort and studying every day after work. She was relieved the exam was not invalidated due to the fraud scandal that had made headlines. She encouraged other candidates to study diligently, manage their time, and take the exam honestly, noting that buying a position is not sustainable compared to earning it through integrity.
