Mongkolkitti Suksintharanont, known as 'Tae Mongkolkitti' and leader of the 'Bangkok Can Fly' political group, conducted a grassroots visit to Satreewitthaya 2 school on May 22, 2025, accompanied by Pasakpong Chaiyaviriyanavanic, a Bangkok governor candidate, Vivat Charoenpanichasiri, and Pakorn Chantrakana. The visit drew massive crowds of enthusiastic students who lined the hallways and courtyards, with some climbing tables and lifting friends onto their shoulders to catch a glimpse of the visiting delegation, while chants of '007' echoed throughout the campus.
During the visit, the team engaged students in conversations about educational challenges, transportation issues, and school environment concerns. Pasakpong identified a key problem: students from outlying areas like Lam Luka District in Pathum Thani must rely on parents for daily transportation. He proposed introducing a 'Student Bus' system with long-distance routes connecting surrounding areas to Bangkok, specifically suggesting routes from the Vibhavadi-Rangsit zone to a central hub at Victory Monument.
Pasakpong outlined plans to negotiate with major bus operators running over 3,100 vehicles to allocate approximately 30% or around 1,000 buses for pilot programs on 10 major routes, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and increase public transit usage. Teachers also raised three primary concerns: flooding problems, transportation and transit difficulties, and the issue of overhead utility cables hanging dangerously low in some areas.
Mongkolkitti expressed surprise at the enthusiastic reception from students at the school.
