A 23-year-old in Oklahoma has turned her childhood dream into a viral Airbnb sensation, offering guests the chance to wake up and interact with real giraffes and over 100 other animals at her "Safari Stayz" property.
Going viral! A 23-year-old woman has come up with a unique Airbnb accommodation idea that offers guests the experience of waking up close to real giraffes, drawing tourists from across the United States who are constantly booking stays.
While waking up to birdsong and natural surroundings is typical at rural resort-style accommodations, this property in Oklahoma, USA takes novelty to another level when guests wake up to find themselves near actual giraffes.
The property, called "Safari Stayz," located in Wannette, has become a viral sensation online with its unique Airbnb concept that allows guests to truly experience wildlife up close.
Behind this project is Kamryn Grant, a 23-year-old animal enthusiast whose childhood dream was to spend time with her favorite animals, particularly the giraffe. She explains that her business initially started small with an animal-themed accommodation featuring lemur experiences, which quickly received positive responses from travelers seeking novelty. This led to her concept gradually expanding.
As popularity increased, Grant expanded the project and introduced a giraffe named Yoshi as the accommodation's highlight, transforming the barn area into an "immersive experience" where guests don't just sleep but actively participate in the animal world up close.
She also noted that the facility holds all necessary permits from wildlife and safety authorities, along with relevant regulatory standards, ensuring that both the animals and guests receive proper care.
After sharing clips on TikTok, the response exploded rapidly, with many videos garnering millions of views. This has led people from across the United States to travel and experience it firsthand.
Reports indicate that some families have driven over 20 hours across state lines to meet the giraffe and the diverse array of animals in the area—over 100 animals including zebras, camels, kangaroos, lemurs, gnus, and other rare species.
Activities allow guests to participate in close-up tours, feed the animals, and learn about their behavior in a fun way, creating an experience that combines both entertainment and education.
