Watch Out: Mount Backs Man United to Win Premier League Title Next Season
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount believes the club has the quality and mental strength to win the Premier League title next season, despite being without a league championship for over 13 years.
Mason Mount, Manchester United midfielder, believes the "Red Devils" have the quality and mental strength to claim the Premier League title next season. United have gone without a league championship for over 13 years since the Sir Alex Ferguson era. However, this season under Michael Carrick's management, the "Red Devils" have improved significantly, sitting third in the table and needing just one more win from their remaining four games to secure Champions League football next season. Mount recently expressed his belief that United have the potential to win the Premier League next season. "I've already won the UEFA Champions League, so my goal is to win the Premier League. Can we do it? I think we can," Mount stated. "It might seem a bit far away, but you need a strong mentality to push yourselves as a team. We've already shown what we can do against big teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal, so we've proven ourselves." He added: "Now the goal is to do it on a bigger stage like the Champions League and be more consistent in the Premier League. I hope to play a significant role in taking us forward next season. That's my goal—I want to win the Premier League." Mount has served as a backup player for Manchester United this season due to injury troubles, having made only 10 starting league appearances out of 20 matches.
