Gen. Kan Naat Nikrayannont, director of the War Veterans Organization (WVO), presided over a memorial ceremony honoring Queen Sirikit and Princess Patcharakitiyabha at Indrawiharn Royal Temple in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon district on July 7, 2026. The ceremony featured remarks in tribute, Buddhist prayers dedicated as merit-making for the late royals, and almsgiving to Buddhist monks. Attendees included Chittanan Nikrayannont, president of the WVO Women's Association, along with senior administrators, advisory panels, and board members.
The War Veterans Organization expressed profound gratitude for Queen Sirikit's constant compassion and support toward veterans and their families, as well as her personal donation to establish an educational fund for veterans' children. This fund aims to provide educational opportunities, improve quality of life, and secure the futures of the children of those who sacrificed for the nation.
Princess Patcharakitiyabha has likewise shown continuous care and concern for veterans and their families, serving as inspiration and moral support to those who have served the country. Her compassion represents boundless benevolence toward military personnel and their households.
