The fifth and final round of Thailand's BMX National Championship competition concluded on July 3-4, 2025, at Kamal Sports Park in Bangkok. General Decha Mekrascri revealed that Thailand's BMX team for the 20th Asian Games includes riders S.O. Komet Sukprasert, Puttabhumi Nakpan, and female riders Chutiakanya Kitwanichsetia and Hutaipetch Jaiswang. The team is preparing for the 2026 Asian BMX Championship in Nilai, Malaysia (August 6-8), where they will compete for world ranking points toward Olympic qualification for Los Angeles 2028. Mekrascri stated that coach Harvey Crepps has been instructed to integrate sports science fully into training. He noted that male riders Komet and Puttabhumi have potential to win one or two medals in the men's team event at the Asian Games, with gold as the ultimate goal. The female team faces stronger competition but aims for a finals berth and top-five finish. The July 3 qualifying round was livestreamed on Thailand Cycling Association's Facebook and YouTube channels, attracting over 10,000 viewers. In the men's open category, S.O. Komet ranked first, followed by Puttabhumi Nakpan in second place.
