Following heartfelt interactions with fans, they performed solo sets, including Boy's dramatic entrance from a floating mini-stage descending to the center and Peeth's intimate performance.

The show featured special highlights including a mashup performance where both singers performed their own songs simultaneously, with intricate musical direction by Jak Chawwin, who also surprised audiences with a guitar solo performed from the control booth. Guest appearances ranged from Pat Wai Klai, Ja Nong Panee, Nai Naphatt, and Pop Ponggul with Ott Pramoht—who delivered a sultry rendition of 'I'm Lonely'—to legendary Poo Pongsit joining them for an emotional duet.

Boy closed out the fun segment with an unprecedented dance performance, dancing intimately with fans in all sections before ending with emotional Peacemaker classics like 'The Last,' 'Lonely,' and 'I Miss You.' As fans sang in unison with overwhelming force, Boy was moved to tears by the profound love and longing the audience conveyed.

PEACEMAKER THE RE:PEACE CONCERT 2026 was more than just a nostalgia-filled evening—it was a night that perfectly fulfilled the hearts of both artists and music lovers through genuine love, longing, and giving. With 50 baht from each ticket contributing to a charitable cause, the concert helped support newborn patients at Thammasat University Hospital's neonatal fund, bringing hope to families.

Urgent! Cabinet Approves October 16 as Special Holiday in Bangkok; Three Days of Work-from-Home for Government Employees, Private Sector Urged to Cooperate

Thailand's Cabinet declared October 16 a special holiday in Bangkok and ordered government work-from-home for three days to ease traffic during the World Bank and IMF annual meetings expected to draw over 15,000 global finance leaders.

5h ago Khaosod

Government spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek announced on May 19, 2026, that the Cabinet approved the restructuring of a national-level committee to prepare for the 2026 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund. State enterprises, financial institutions, educational institutions, and private businesses in areas surrounding the conference venue are asked to implement appropriate measures suited to their locations and operations. Agencies with essential services or pre-scheduled public appointments may continue operations if cancellation would cause harm or service disruption. War Impact Exceeds Expectations; GDP Target Maintained at 1.2-1.6% as Energy Restructuring Investment Proposed

Middle East conflict is dampening Thailand's economic outlook, with the business sector revising 2025 GDP growth to 1.2-1.6% and calling for accelerated renewable energy investment to reduce oil import dependence.

5h ago Khaosod

Pimjai Leeissaranukul, chairman of the Thai Industrial Confederation (FTI), chaired a meeting of the Joint Private Sector Committee bringing together three major business organizations alongside Pojanachai Aramwattananont of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Vorakrit Charuwongpuk, secretary-general of the Thai Bankers Association.

Pimjai revealed that the Middle East conflict has dragged into its third month with no visible end in sight. The Strait of Hormuz remains unable to resume normal operations, while energy infrastructure damaged by recent attacks requires extended repair periods. Concerns about physical damage continue to keep energy prices elevated.

Economic impacts from supply shortages are already visible in the aviation sector, affecting tourists traveling on flights from the Middle East to Thailand. Given the unpredictable situation in the Middle East, risks to Thailand's economy may be higher than apparent. The committee therefore projects Thailand's 2025 GDP growth at 1.2-1.6%, with exports declining between -1.5% and -0.5%, and inflation rising to 2-3%, up from previous forecasts of 0.2-0.7%.

The economy faces continued challenges requiring monitoring of Middle East conflict impacts on raw material prices and business sector supply shortages, which could develop into new problems. Thailand should accelerate investment in energy restructuring, increase renewable energy production, reduce dependence on oil and gas imports, and expedite investments under the Reinvent Thailand initiative to support future economic growth.

The committee agreed to present proposals to the Prime Minister and Labor Minister for rapid consideration and implementation. Thailand's first quarter 2025 economy grew 2.8%, though gains concentrated in specific sectors, driven by strong private investment, accelerated public spending, and robust export growth in digital technology and AI products—tech exports expanded over 45% with 12 consecutive quarters of growth. However, exports remain concentrated and haven't broadly benefited manufacturing sectors.

The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council, Commerce Ministry, and the committee's estimates project Brent crude oil averaging $90.3 per barrel this year, with domestic fuel prices floating, inflation's lower bound at 2%, and an expected 50% reduction in oil excise tax from current rates.

Pimjai further called on the government to urgently address severe labor shortages in labor-intensive industries, balancing security, economic, and social dimensions. The committee views the government should accelerate both short and medium-term labor measures, with foreign worker permit renewals for current residents and workers constituting essential immediate action to prevent workforce loss from the system.

Barcode Ballot Case Postponed Again: Court Sets August 11 Hearing for Eight Election Commission Officials

Eight Election Commission officials face a rescheduled court hearing on August 11 over accusations they added unnecessary barcodes to ballot cards in a scheme that allegedly compromised voting confidentiality and inflated printing costs.

5h ago Khaosod

The Special Criminal Criminal Court has postponed the indictment hearing for eight Election Commission (EC) officials in the ballot barcode case for the second time after the EC submitted clarifications and supporting evidence. The hearing was originally scheduled for May 19, 2569 at the Special Criminal Court on Railway Lane. The case, docket number Ot. 31/2569, was filed by attorney Yongyut Saowkaewsathit against EC Chairman Niran Kalawarintr and seven other officials.

The accused face charges of official misconduct or corruption under Criminal Code Section 157, read with the Election Commission Act B.E. 2562 Section 83, the House of Representatives Election Act B.E. 2561 Section 149, and the Anti-Corruption Act B.E. 2561 Section 172. According to the charges, all eight officials allegedly conspired to order the addition of QR codes to green ballot cards for constituency elections and barcodes to pink ballot cards for party-list elections, allegedly intended for verification purposes in a manner that lacked integrity and transparency. The plaintiff claims this unnecessary addition increased printing costs and compromised the confidentiality of the voting process.

During today's hearing, the court informed the plaintiff that the EC office had submitted written clarifications along with supporting evidence. The plaintiff was given 15 days to review the documentation and file any rebuttals, with failure to respond considered acceptance. The court has rescheduled the judgment hearing to August 11, 2569 at 9:30 a.m. This marks the second postponement; the hearing was previously moved from March 17 to May 19 before being delayed again to August.

News Update: Commemorative Medal for Luang Pho Ruay's Ecclesiastical Rank - Wat Tako

Luang Pho Ruay Pasatiko, a revered Buddhist monk from Wat Tako, was honored with commemorative medals marking his ecclesiastical advancement in 1970, becoming famous nationwide for his amulets and spiritual guidance before his death in 2017

5h ago Khaosod

Luang Pho Ruay Pasatiko, also known as Phra Mongkolsitthajarn, was a distinguished Buddhist monk and scholar from Wat Tako in Don Yai Nang subdistrict, Pachi district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, renowned for his expertise in Buddhist scripture and meditation. Born in December 1907 to parents Mi and Sinla Sritit, he grew up like typical rural children, helping his parents with agriculture and animal husbandry. At age 16, he ordained at Wat Tako under Phra Somulbunchuy and dedicated himself to studying Buddhist doctrine, eventually achieving first-class ecclesiastical academic certification.

At age 20 in 1941, he received his full ordination at Wat Tako with Phra Kru Sunthorathammawidit (Luang Pho Chuean) as his preceptor. He continued his studies in Buddhist texts and by 1944 had achieved advanced academic ranks. After completing his doctrinal studies, he turned his attention to meditation practice and sought instruction from renowned masters including Luang Pho Chuean of Wat Pachi and Luang Pho Chaem of Wat Daeng Nuea, who generously shared their knowledge of Buddhist mystical sciences.

He served as abbot of Wat Tako from 1949 and as district sangha leader from 1953. Known for his strict adherence to monastic discipline, simple lifestyle, and equal compassion for all who sought his blessings regardless of social class, he became a leading ecclesiastical figure. His amulets and sacred objects, particularly his wriststrings and talismans, were highly sought after for their spiritual power. In 2015, he was honored with an ecclesiastical rank of Phra Ratchakana (third class) and given the title Phra Mongkolsitthajarn.

He produced amulets beginning before 1969, with significant production from 1970 onward across many batches that became highly popular and valuable. As a leading national monk, he was regularly invited to preside over amulet consecration ceremonies. His name, considered auspicious, led believers to trust that those who made merit with him would prosper. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Vichaiyut Hospital in Bangkok at age 95 after 75 years of monastic life.

His most renowned amulets are his wriststrings, but equally popular are his first-edition medals created on April 18, 1970, commemorating his elevation to the ecclesiastical rank of Phra Kru Sannyabat (second class). The medal features a relief portrait and bears an inscription with his name.

"Calming the mind is finding the right balance," according to Luang Pho Cha Suphatthō of Wat Nong Pa Phong in Ubon Ratchathani. Luang Pho Phao Phuttha Saro of Wat Tham Tago in Lopburi was a respected monk in Khao Samokhon subdistrict who rarely created sacred amulets, making his coins extremely rare and highly collectible. The second edition, cast in 1927, was distributed to devotees who participated in the temple restoration. It features a cylindrical design with the monk's portrait and Thai inscriptions including the year 2470 on the reverse with a square yantra. In 1934, devotees commissioned Luang Pho Yid Chanthsuvanno to create the "Brahma Muni Great Prosperity Medal" dedicated to parents and distributed to temple contributors. Luang Poo Yim Chanthachoti, a revered elder from Kanchanaburi, was renowned for creating closed-eye Buddha amulets and candy-shaped takrut charms called "World Element Takrut." In 2011, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Luang Poo Sun Tikkhapanyo's death, Wat Tikkhamoni Wanna temple created a new amulet series featuring flower designs with the monk's portrait, produced in both gold-plated and copper versions as promising collectibles.

Lucky and Unlucky Days Wednesday, May 20, 2569

Aries (Fire Sign) Today you enjoy excellent financial luck. Warm, supportive relatives will bring you good fortune. Despite some chaos, money will flow in steadily. Your current work succeeds well. However, be very cautious when hiring foreign domestic help, as unexpected problems can arise.

Taurus (Earth Sign) You may experience physical ailments and illness today. Avoid disputes with government officials over fines and arguments with business contacts. Your memory is unreliable; you tend to forget easily. Your staff assistance will improve.

Gemini (Air Sign) Senior colleagues will show unexpected kindness and consideration, possibly including teachers. Travel may encounter some obstacles but will ultimately resolve smoothly with divine protection. Be cautious about showing sympathy to others, as they may question your sincerity.

Cancer (Water Sign) You receive gains and praise from friends and colleagues. Someone connected to your superiors may complicate matters or make insincere investment proposals. Home renovations will not proceed smoothly with limited luck. Your romantic partner or business partner may consider further education or foreign travel.

Leo (Fire Sign) You achieve success in life and work proportionate to your foundation and abilities. Jupiter provides favorable influence during this period. Mercury enters your work sector with the sun. Your income has increased significantly recently. However, exercise great caution after May 2569 ends.

Virgo (Earth Sign) Despite high expenses, your income is good. Major business dealings will succeed. Minor friendship complications may arise, but you experience good fortune overall—tasks succeed as desired. If your home needs repairs, attend to them quickly, as theft is possible during this period.

Libra (Air Sign) Do not offer unsolicited advice or admonish anyone, as they won't listen and may ridicule you instead. Farmers' agricultural income will be low. Beware of conflicts with influential community members or family elders; patience will reduce disputes.

Scorpio (Water Sign) Requesting help from elders won't yield satisfactory results. Even using forceful authority in work matters won't bring success. Use negotiation and compromise instead, focusing on long-term rather than short-term gains. You'll be interested in language studies and achieve success in long-distance travel.

Sagittarius (Fire Sign) Be careful with your communication. Damage usually comes from your inflexibility; even kind words may displease others. Your staff and children will fall ill scattered throughout, though you remain well. Retail businesses or sales typically don't perform well.

Capricorn (Water Sign) New ideas emerge today, or you spend money on entertaining friends or travel, though results may be unsatisfactory. Don't overwork elderly staff. Avoid allowing strangers to interfere in your office.

Diverse Vehicles – BYD Seele 6 EV: A Family-Oriented Sedan That's Smooth, Quiet, and Relaxed to Drive Without Emphasis on Power

BYD's new Seele 6 EV sedan prioritizes comfort and smooth driving for families over performance, featuring a quiet cabin, 485-kilometer range, and responsive acceleration without jerky motion. The rear-wheel-drive sedan delivered 160 kilowa

5h ago Khaosod

At the recent motor show, BYD stood out as one of the automakers launching the most new models, presenting four vehicles simultaneously covering all market segments. Among these is the Seele 6, the latest EV sedan worthy of considerable interest.

We reached out to Tuk Buddhachad Saensasam, PR Director at Reve Automotive, BYD's distributor and marketer, for a test drive and were granted immediate access to the top PREMIUM variant. The model is equipped with an electric motor delivering 160 kilowatts of maximum power and 330 Newton-meters of maximum torque, with rear-wheel drive. The BYD Blade battery provides 56.4 kilowatt-hours of capacity and a maximum range of 485 kilometers. The design features a Dragon Face front with Dual LED headlights, flowing side lines that gracefully extend to a coupe-style sloping rear, 18-inch alloy wheels, an electrically operated panoramic sunroof, and a horizontal light bar spanning the entire rear—all hallmarks of a well-designed EV.

The interior features an 8.8-inch LCD driver display, though the text is somewhat small and requires careful reading. A 12.8-inch touchscreen multimedia system includes wireless smartphone charging, though its positioning presents some risk of items sliding off during sharp turns. The front seats offer ventilation to help dissipate heat during hot weather.

One pleasant surprise upon entering the vehicle is a button to activate the car—a nice safety feature preventing accidental activation, unlike many other EVs that require only braking to become operational.

Departing from the main office on Rama I Road during peak traffic, the sedan's quiet cabin and maneuverability make navigating congestion stress-free. Notably, unlike typical EVs, this model exhibits minimal jerking on acceleration and minimal lag when releasing the throttle—almost comparable to a conventional combustion engine. This eliminates motion sickness concerns and inspires confident driving.

With approximately 70% battery remaining, we didn't focus on consumption figures, unaware of the previous driver's driving style. We'd recalculate after a full charge.

The motor's power is instantly responsive in typical EV fashion. Overtaking is effortless, and the side-mirror adjustment buttons on the door panels are a thoughtful addition—allowing real-time angle adjustments without accessing the screen. The climate control, while requiring the touchscreen, includes convenient shortcuts without deep menu diving.

We stopped at a 150-kilowatt fast-charging station. Although the Seele 6 specs list 100-kilowatt charging capability, real-world testing showed approximately 75 kilowatts despite being the sole vehicle charging. This extended charging time from 20% to 90% battery to over 30 minutes.

Heading out of the city and gradually accelerating, there's no dramatic thrust—likely reflecting its family sedan character without emphasis on raw speed and power. At moderate speeds of 100-120 km/h, the suspension delivers a soft, refined ride over potholes and uneven surfaces. Acceleration remains solid and composed. However, at higher speeds, some wavering and floating sensations emerge...

Entertainment Scoop: 'Noo Lek' Takes on Lion Dancing in 'Singo Lam Sing,' Paired with 'Tao' for Full-Throttle Fun

Action star Noo Lek tackles lion dancing in Channel One 31's new drama "Singo Lam Sing," a fusion of Chinese lion dance and Isan lam sing that premieres May 21, paired opposite Tao in a tale of saving a troubled troupe from financial collap

5h ago Khaosod

Channel One 31 delivers entertainment by blending two cultures—Chinese lion dancing and Isan lam sing—in the drama 'Singo Lam Sing,' written by Sakunkarn Wetchacheewa and Patinaya Punshiratta, directed by Rattanapon Wanlai and Charivatn Upagaichaipatana.

Action star 'Noo Lek' Tithianan Sanhaluang plays Thaew, heir to the Kim Han lion dance troupe, opposite leading man 'Tao' Saettapong Pienpo as Nati, an ambitious young entrepreneur.

They're joined by a colorful ensemble including Nook Thanadol as Glab, Yuki Haitongkam as Sai, Tri Chainaorng as the secretary, and Lamyong Nonghinhao as Sriyram, alongside veterans like Phuri Hiranyaprueksa, Yingying Saruda Petchroj, Wit Phutthiphot, Mayuree Anyasana, and Somjit Jongjao.

'Singo Lam Sing' follows the Kim Han lion dance troupe facing crisis after Chlit, the troupe owner, suffers an accident. His daughter Thaew must take over as leader to save the group from financial collapse and protect their land from the powerful Dnai, who's eyeing their community property. Young entrepreneur Nati steps in to help fight for the troupe's survival.

Noo Lek revealed the challenges of playing Thaew: 'At first I thought lion dancing was just lifting and blinking, but it's actually extremely demanding. One hand controls the mouth while the other pulls the strings for the eyes. You carry the head on your shoulder while bending your legs to match the drum rhythm. It requires all your senses and strength.' She explained how she bonded with the professional lion dancers through workshops and performances, gaining insight into their lifestyle and dedication. 'Singo Lam Sing' blends lion dancing choreography with lam sing dance moves, with Yuki singing while the actors perform both lion movements and traditional Isan dance steps—a significantly more advanced challenge than traditional lion dancing alone.

Watch 'Singo Lam Sing' every Monday-Thursday at 1 p.m., premiering Thursday, May 21, on Channel One 31, with reruns available on the oneD app.
