ONE Championship Eyes Dream Matchup Between Yodkhao and Tiger Kim
ONE Championship is planning a potential world title matchup between Yodkhao and Tiger Kim from the same gym if both win their upcoming fights in August and September.
ONE Championship founder Chatri Sityodtong suggested during a Facebook live session that a world title clash between Yodkhao and Tiger Kim from the PK Saenchai Muaythai Gym could happen if both fighters win their respective upcoming bouts. Sityodtong stated he has already spoken with Sia Khak, the gym's head coach, and asked both Yodkhao and Tiger Kim about their interest in facing each other for the world championship. "It may seem unusual to Thai sensibilities, but remember this is professional sports—such scenarios are certainly possible," Sityodtong explained. Sia Khak responded via Facebook, saying he will follow whatever Sityodtong decides, adding that his focus is on the promotion that allows everyone to escape poverty, and that they operate as professionals. Yodkhao is scheduled to challenge current ONE Muaythai World Champion Rambo Leklek Phajenliboon in the bantamweight division (135-145 lbs) at The Inner Circle 30, taking place at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium (Ramintra) on September 11. Meanwhile, Tiger Kim Pong Suparnn is set to face former ONE Muaythai World Champion Nabil Anane in the bantamweight division at The Inner Circle 25 on August 7.
