Thai actor Top Tosapol publicly addressed persistent fan speculation about his romantic relationship with actress Koi Oracha, urging supporters to move on and focus on the present rather than speculate about artists' personal lives. At a recent Chang Cold Brew event, he clarified that he and Koi remain good friends, credited the film success of The Red Line, and reassured fans that he is doing well despite his naturally droopy eyes making him appear sad.
Top Tosapol is urging fans to move on from the situation with Koi Oracha, wanting everyone to relax and insisting he's not sad. He advised that if you genuinely care about and follow an artist, focus on the present and don't try to think for them.
After being caught up in the shipping craze between Top Tosapol and Koi Oracha—one of the most popular pairings fans championed—which ended clearly when the female lead announced a relationship with Tim Picha while emphasizing they were only friends, some fans still couldn't move on, sparking online drama.
Most recently, Top Tosapol appeared at the Chang Cold Brew Cool Club event to announce the "Chill Everyday – Afterwork" communication campaign and spoke candidly, clearing up all issues including his relationship with Koi and providing feedback on his film The Red Line, which has been doing exceptionally well, especially for those of us who became memes.
Top: I'm happy everyone liked it. People can joke however they want, just watching is enough. This film really sets the standard for our local film industry. Every character was strong, but when brought together it was really great. I think this might be the first time in my acting career I didn't wear makeup at all, except when adding effects. Everyone changed costumes and went straight into scenes. My face was completely natural. I loved it—it was very natural.
It became a worldwide hit, ranking number one in viewership globally?
Top: I'm thrilled and very surprised. No one dared predict this. We were just waiting for feedback, but I never thought it would reach this level. It exceeded my expectations by far.
Koi responded about Top the other day?
Top: Exactly what she said was correct. Actually, if it weren't Koi's case, everyone should be behaving that way already, whether it's with their girlfriend or friends. When we see each other, it's normal. When we go hiking, it's normal. I still stand by what I've always said—me, Koi, Natty, Dream, we're all friends, like younger siblings. I'm even on their team. Koi, Natty, Dream, Top.
Fans were just thinking of your wellbeing?
Top: I see. Everyone wrote assumptions that I definitely didn't want to come, that I was awkward or reluctant. My spirit was dampened. I'm fine normally. That day on the trip, I just woke up late. I wasn't stressed or didn't want to come. I went and read it and honestly wanted to respond, but I'm not very good at playing along so I let it go. I saw many people create drama, going to search for Natty, searching for Dream. I want everyone to relax. It's nothing. They were just talking about feeling like friends teasing each other, and I wasn't upset. I kept a still face and they said my eyes looked sad.
Were you bothered by something like that?
Top: No. I want to tell you that it's my nature—when my face is blank, my eyes droop a bit, or as you'd say, they're loose and droopy. I'm not sad. My friends tease me as usual, in the normal way friends joke around.
What do you want to say to people who still haven't moved on from this?
Top: Thank you to everyone who's been following along. At least you're interested. I think everyone has their own lives. Whoever you admire, I think genuine appreciation means wanting them to be happy however they are. I always tell my friends that the past is something we can't change. We don't know what the future holds. Focus more on the present. If you admire an artist, if you follow someone, if you like someone, look at their present—see how happy they are. Don't try to think for them or think about their future. Sometimes I don't even know what I'll face tomorrow.
They love you and are very concerned about you, wanting you to be happy?
Top: I graduated from an all-boys school. I'm much stronger than that. I've had fans my whole life. This is just the first time, let me enjoy it a bit. Even if I don't have fans now, I can handle it.
What's your ideal woman spec right now?
Top: I don't have specific specs. We have to know each other first. What's definitely clear is she needs to be someone who takes good care of herself, takes good care of her family, and has discipline in something. Nothing too specific.
