The 18-year-old rising star Kamalvarn, ranked 1,070 globally, dominated her first-round match, while 24-year-old Tharspore, seeded 3rd, impressed with a quick victory in under an hour.
The ITF professional tennis tournaments—men's M15 and women's W15 divisions—kicked off their main draw on May 12, 2025, at Kasetsart University's Kamphaeng Saen campus in Nakhon Pathom, with prize purses of $15,000 USD (approximately 487,050 baht) each.
Two Thai women players advanced to represent Thailand's 2026 Billy Jean King Cup squad in the women's singles round of 32. Eighteen-year-old rising star "Bua" Kamalvarn Yodpetch, ranked 1,070 in the world, delivered a dominant performance to defeat 23-year-old Italian Chiara Di Tommaso (ITF ranking 420) with a commanding 6-0, 6-4 victory in just 68 minutes.
