A truck fire erupted on the Bangna-Trat Highway inbound lane at kilometer 40 in Bang Wa subdistrict, Bang Pakong district, Chachoengsao province at 7:30 PM on May 3rd. The incident featured periodic explosions and intensely blazing flames shooting high into the air. Firefighters responded by closing traffic temporarily on the inbound express lane and deployed water and chemical agents to suppress and control the fire, taking approximately one hour to fully extinguish it. The truck was completely destroyed by the flames. Initial investigation revealed the truck was transporting lithium batteries for electric motorcycles, traveling from Plaeng Yao district in Chachoengsao province to Samut Sakhon province. Authorities are conducting further investigation before proceeding with legal action.
