KLUB25 Thonglor Ranks 97th in 'The World's 100 Best Clubs 2025,' Elevating Thai Nightlife to the Global Stage

Bangkok's KLUB25 has ranked 97th in The World's 100 Best Clubs 2025, one of only two Thai venues to make the prestigious international list and a milestone for Thailand's nightlife industry on the global stage.

19 May Khaosod

Thailand has only two entertainment venues that made it into 'The World's 100 Best Clubs 2025' ranking: ILLUZION in Phuket Province at number 64 and KLUB25 from the Thonglor 25 area in Bangkok at number 97. This reflects the international recognition of Thailand's nightlife industry across music, service quality, entertainment experience, and the growing night-time economy's role in boosting tourism and lifestyle sectors. Bangkok—marking another notable development in Thailand's nighttime entertainment industry. The World's 100 Best Clubs 2025 list, compiled by the International Nightlife Association, indicates that only two Thai entertainment venues made it into the world's top 100, with KLUB25 from Bangkok earning a spot at number 97 this year. This ranking transforms the Thonglor 25 club into one of Thailand's representatives on the international stage, standing alongside entertainment venues from major cities worldwide. It demonstrates that Bangkok is not only a tourism destination but also home to world-class nightlife entertainment. The World's 100 Best Clubs 2025 ranking is not based solely on popularity but combines public voting with expert industry panel assessments, where panel scores account for 50% of the total. The evaluation considers factors such as music and arts programming, safety measures, sound system quality, service standards, management, national and international recognition, and sustainability initiatives. From an industry perspective, having only two Thai venues in the world's top 100 and one of them from Bangkok is a positive signal for the capital's image as a music, entertainment, service, and nighttime culture destination with competitive potential on the global stage. This success aligns with the growing Night-time Economy trend embraced by major cities worldwide, which extends beyond just entertainment venues to encompass tourism, employment, live music, events, transportation, restaurants, and urban services. From Thonglor 25 to the world stage, this ranking milestone reinforces that Thailand's nightlife industry has potential to reach international standards if it maintains consistent quality in user experience, sound systems, management, safety, and service. KLUB25's appearance at number 97 globally is not just one business's success—it reflects that Bangkok hosts world-class entertainment venues capable of gaining international recognition and represents another significant boost to Thailand's diverse, modern, and contemporary tourism image.

19 May Khaosod

Japanese police have revealed the arrest of two American nationals involved in an incident at Ichikawa Zoo in Chiba Prefecture on the morning of Sunday, May 17. One of the suspects jumped into the enclosure of 'Punch Kung,' a 9-month-old Japanese macaque who has captured the hearts of the internet and attracted numerous tourists to Ichikawa, while the other suspect filmed the incident. Authorities disclosed that a 24-year-old man claiming to be a college student is accused of scaling a fence to enter Punch's enclosure, and a 27-year-old man claiming to be a singer was responsible for recording the video. Both men initially denied the allegations. Video footage posted on social media by visitors shows a man in a costume covering his head and face climbing over a fence into the snow monkey enclosure. Reports indicate the costume was used to promote a cryptocurrency. The costumed man was then seen walking around one section of the enclosure before animal care staff intervened and brought him inside, after which police arrived to arrest him and charge him with obstructing business operations. The zoo stated that no monkeys were injured and is implementing preventive measures against future incidents, including expanding restricted viewing areas and installing anti-intrusion netting. The facility is also considering a complete ban on video recording around the exhibit and has temporarily suspended approval for YouTuber filming requests.

Prit Urges Parliament Speaker to Fast-Track Bill, Establish Ad Hoc Committee to Scrutinize 400 Billion Baht Borrowing Decree, Warns Government Not to Evade Parliament

Opposition MP Prit Chaturon urged parliament's speaker to fast-track a bill creating an oversight committee for a 400 billion baht borrowing decree, warning the government is already spending funds before constitutional court review conclud

19 May Khaosod

On May 19, 2025, Prit Chaturon, a Pheu Thai party list MP and opposition coalition coordinator, addressed the Constitutional Court's acceptance of a petition challenging the constitutionality of the 400 billion baht borrowing decree. While parliament must pause its approval process once the court accepts the case, the government has declared it will proceed with spending, with the cabinet expected to approve initial fund disbursement on that same day. Chaturon argued that parliament's concrete response should be establishing an ad hoc committee to investigate whether the funds are being used transparently and directly, similar to past oversight practices.

Chaturon revealed that his party submitted an urgent bill last week awaiting the speaker's determination on whether to classify it as an emergency matter. He expressed hope the speaker would grant urgent status, as the government has already begun spending from the borrowing decree. He warned that if the speaker refuses urgent designation and the matter doesn't reach parliament next week, it would raise serious questions about the speaker's neutrality.

When asked what would happen if no ad hoc committee is established, Chaturon criticized the government's approach of bundling 200 billion baht in public assistance with 200 billion baht in energy projects, describing it as using relief funds as collateral for energy initiatives and reflecting government deception. He argued that either blocking the ad hoc committee's establishment or refusing urgent bill status would constitute "parliamentary evasion"—first by circumventing normal legislative processes through the decree mechanism, and second by preventing proper oversight. "This would only reinforce opposition concerns about this government's lack of transparency," Chaturon concluded.

Hallodarah – Jeff Satur Shows Off Shredded Physique! Reveals Struggle During Strict Diet

Actor Jeff Satur reveals the grueling diet required to maintain his shredded physique for his film role, admitting he misses Thai custard treats but insists he's not obsessed with his appearance. The actor emphasizes that happiness and qual

19 May Khaosod

Hallodarah – Jeff Satur opens up about the grueling ordeal of maintaining a strict diet for his golden physique, insisting he's not addicted to being shredded but simply wants to look right. He emphasizes that life needs to include happiness, and admits he misses Thai custard treats and egg tarts.

Turning to his film project, 'Term 4: D-Day,' which is based on true events, young actor Thadd ATLAS reveals he was initially nervous. "The director told me the screenwriter drew from a real story," he explains. "At first I thought it wasn't real, but you can see that bus in actual news footage. The director did extensive research and interviewed people from the area. Since it's based on a true story, I pray before every shoot—I don't want to disrespect anyone. As for the acting, the three of us were quite close since we'd worked together before. Playing as friends in this film felt relaxed, and honestly, we had real fun together. We were scared of ghosts, we ran away for real, but it was enjoyable sharing it with friends."

Meanwhile, actress May Fuengaram launches 'MISSSE Collagen Whitening Powder Pact,' a premium powder compact. "It took me a long time to develop and research this formula," she explains. "My goal was to make quality products more accessible so every woman can afford good skincare at a fair price. I didn't create this just to sell—I wanted everyone to have access to the best products." You can shop the brand Missse through their online channels.

Having successfully shaped his physique for his project, Jeff Satur does have some minor complaints. "Playing the role isn't hard, but eating is the real challenge," he admits. "I have to eat dry chicken breast and boiled eggs, but we can't just survive—we have to live too. It's torturous, but seeing my physique on screen is worth it. That said, I'm not obsessed with having a golden body. I just maintain it, and whether it stays or goes is fine with me. But once I finish, I want to go back to eating Thai custard and egg tarts."

Prime Video is ready to serve up entertainment with 'Spider-Noir,' a live-action series adaptation of Marvel's Spider-Man Noir comic. The story follows Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage), an aging and unlucky private detective in 1930s New York, who must confront his past following a personal tragedy. As the city's only superhero, he faces new challenges. The series streams May 27th.

Deputy National Police Commander Deploys to Phitsanulok to Crack Down on Human Smuggling Network Operating Call Center Scams

Police arrested seven people including Thai nationals and foreign workers in Phitsanulok after dismantling a human smuggling network that was moving Indonesian workers into Thailand for call center scam operations near the Mae Sot border.

19 May Khaosod

Police Lieutenant General Thatchai Pitanilabut, Deputy National Police Commander, deployed to Phitsanulok to dismantle the human smuggling network operating call center fraud schemes.

On May 19, 2025, Deputy Commander Thatchai revealed that following coordination with ASEAN police networks and the Indonesian police attaché regarding Indonesian nationals held in Phitsanulok awaiting illegal border crossing to work at border call centers, he authorized tracking operations by Region 6 Police, the Immigration Bureau's Checkpoint 5, and relevant agencies. The search of a residential location in Muang Phitsanulok district resulted in the apprehension of two Thai nationals, three Indonesians (two men and one woman), and one Chinese national, with two vehicles seized. All suspects underwent victim screening for human trafficking; preliminary results showed the three Indonesians were not trafficking victims. They reported previously working in neighboring countries before being smuggled across the border into Thailand to prepare for reassignment to call center operations along the Mae Sot border area.

Deputy Commander Thatchai, accompanied by the Indonesian police attaché, proceeded to Muang Phitsanulok Police Station to expedite evidence collection and expand the investigation to identify all smugglers, brokers, and facilitators involved.

Thatchai stated that human smuggling operations and transnational criminal networks continue active efforts utilizing coordinator and smuggler networks across multiple areas, and authorities will accelerate investigations and expand prosecutions against additional suspects.

The Royal Thai Police is upgrading technology and AI systems to support data analysis and tracking of transnational networks' movements. Region 6 Police has been ordered to coordinate with immigration and relevant agencies to accelerate investigations, expand prosecutions, and conduct rigorous operations to eliminate foreign smuggling networks.
