At 19:30 on May 24, 2569, Lieutenant Nanthawut Vichcharaphot, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at Non Sung Police Station in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, received a report of two boys drowning at Gavaen Pool in Bing Subdistrict, Non Sung District. He reported the incident to Colonel Sitthipol Timsungnoen, the station commander, and coordinated with medical personnel and rescue units from Non Sung Hospital and Rescue Unit 31.
Upon arrival, authorities found two 12-year-old boys deceased. Their families and nearby residents were in distress.
According to the investigation, the two boys had come to play in the water together when they slipped and fell into the deep section. Both were unable to swim, and they disappeared before their friends and nearby residents. Good Samaritans immediately attempted to search for and retrieve their bodies from the water, providing first aid and performing CPR to try to save their lives, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Both boys died.
Authorities transported the bodies to the hospital and conducted a legal investigation before releasing them to their families for religious funeral rites.
