Thailand's taekwondo poomsae team delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Asian Poomsae Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on May 20, 2026, capturing 2 additional gold and 2 silver medals on the final day of competition.
The two gold medals came from the men's team poomsae category, contested by athletes from 9 nations. The defending champion Thai team of Nattachai Suta, Thana Khiaolaileot, and Sippakorn Wetchakropatiwoengsa advanced to the final to face Taiwan. The Thai team performed brilliantly in the final, scoring 8.970 points to defeat Taiwan's 8.890 and successfully defend their championship title.
The second gold medal came from the mixed freestyle team category, featuring Ratchapol Yaibua, Suwapit Sirisinrungruang, Aatchiriya Kerdkaew, Sarisa Thaitonghang, Sasipha Chupol, and Watchrakul Limchitrakorn. The team showcased impressive techniques and kicks, earning 8.720 points to capture Thailand's second gold medal.
The two silver medals came from the women's team poomsae category, contested by 9 nations. The Thai team of Cholakorn Chayavattoto, Chutiakarn Laphnitayapan, and Ratchawun Tapeiantong reached the final but fell short against Taiwan, scoring 8.850 to Taiwan's 8.930.
