The department reports continuous rainfall with heavy to very heavy downpours in parts of the Northern, Central, Northeastern, Eastern, and Southern regions. Residents are advised to exercise caution regarding dangers from heavy rainfall and accumulated water that may cause flash flooding and flash floods, particularly in foothill areas near water channels and low-lying areas. This is due to the strengthening of the southwest monsoon affecting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
The Andaman Sea in the north from Phuket northward will see waves 2-3 meters high, with areas experiencing thunderstorms seeing waves exceeding 3 meters. The lower Andaman Sea from Krabi southward and the upper Gulf of Thailand will experience waves around 2 meters high, with thunderstorm areas seeing waves exceeding 2 meters. Fishermen are advised to navigate carefully and avoid areas with thunderstorms, while small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should refrain from leaving shore.
