According to posts from the official Boss Aew Waan fan club and Trat News Facebook page, Boss Aew Waan—whose real name is Monthian Detrakul, a former dancer and close companion of Lamyai Haithongkham—underwent the head-shaving ceremony at Wat Chang Thoon in Trat, with family members, elders, and friends present to participate in the hair-cutting ritual. Popular lukthung singer Lamyai Haithongkham made the trip to join in the hair-cutting ceremony for Boss Aew Waan. On April 24, 2569 (2026) at 3:00 PM, the head-shaving ceremony for Boss Aew Waan took place, followed by the formal Buddhist ordination ceremony to dedicate merit to his parents, grandmother, and family on the morning of April 25, 2569. The ceremony included a procession around the temple's ordination hall, conducted according to traditional Buddhist practices, with family, friends, siblings, and fans in attendance. A highlight of the event was famous lukthung singer Lamyai Haithongkham, his close sister, traveling to the temple to participate in the head-shaving ritual and bestow merit before returning home amid warm welcomes from gathered fans. Boss Aew Waan shared that he is 23 years old and undertook this ordination to repay the kindness of his parents, grandmother, and family, as well as relatives who raised him. He expressed gratitude to his FC (fan club) for traveling to support him. He will remain ordained for six days according to an auspicious date his mother consulted, after which he will return to work.
