Rescuers Revive Driver After Truck Flips Near Bangkok
A 54-year-old driver was revived by rescuers after his pickup truck lost control on a curve near Bangkok's Chaeng Watthana overpass, hit a bridge support, and flipped across the road on July 5.
Rescuers revived a 54-year-old driver whose pickup truck lost control on a curve, spun left then right, and struck a bridge support before flipping across the road.
At 3:40 p.m. on July 5, 2569, Pak Kret Police Station received a report of a pickup truck that had lost control, flipped, and blocked traffic near Chaeng Watthana overpass in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. The driver was in critical condition. Officers and foundation volunteers rushed to the scene.
At the crash site, rescuers found a bronze-gold Toyota pickup registered in Sisaket Province, overturned on the road near the overpass entrance. The driver, Mr. Samarn, 54, was unconscious with no pulse. Rescue personnel immediately performed CPR before transporting him urgently to Chon Prasit Hospital. Cooking ingredients were found scattered at the scene, and long tire skid marks on the curved section indicated the vehicle had lost traction before hitting the bridge support.
Witnesses reported that the truck was traveling from Samkan 3 intersection when it lost control at the curve, spun left, then right before striking the bridge and overturning. A coworker said Mr. Samarn had just left Samkan 3 Market and was driving home to the opposite side, near the accident site, when the crash happened.
Officers moved the vehicle to restore traffic flow and continued their investigation.
