On July 1, 2025, the Constitutional Court unanimously ruled to dismiss a petition filed by Tanawit Wongtharatip, who alleged that PM Anuchin Chanyeerakul's appointment of Pipat Ratchakij as Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister created a conflict of interest. Tanawit claimed Pipat's energy sector interests could benefit his relatives, and argued he suffered direct harm from rapid fuel price increases caused by fuel station shortages. Since Tanawit could not establish direct personal injury from the appointments, the petition was deemed inadmissible. The ruling reinforced that parliamentary oversight mechanisms, not individual citizens, are the proper channels for scrutinizing ministerial qualifications.

Police have dismantled a major bank account trading operation that supplied stolen accounts to scammer syndicates operating abroad. On July 1, 2025, officers acting on intelligence conducted a raid at a hotel in Bangkok's Thonburi district, arresting Somjai, the alleged account broker; Winai, who sold his own accounts; and Prakatsdit, Somjai's boyfriend, who was found with crystal methamphetamine and methamphetamine pills. Police recovered five smartphones with active banking applications, three phone SIM cards, one bank passbook, 16 ATM cards, nine national ID cards of other individuals, 0.75 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and two methamphetamine pills. Investigation revealed that Somjai operated as a middleman acquiring bank accounts and phones with app-activated accounts from sellers like Winai, then reselling them to overseas scammer networks for a profit of 2,000-3,000 baht per account over more than a year. Both Somjai and Winai have confessed to their roles. They face charges including facilitating the sale of bank accounts, unauthorized use of others' electronic cards, fraud by impersonation, inserting false computer data with intent to cause harm, and opening bank accounts knowing they would be used for technology-related crimes. Prakatsdit is being prosecuted separately for drug possession.

On July 1, 2569, Arthit Samphantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Interior Ministry, gave an interview at the ministry headquarters regarding progress in the local government exam fraud investigation. Deputy Permanent Secretary Santhithorn Yimlamnai, overseeing community development and local administration promotion, reported that the fact-finding committee has completed its seven-day review and will finalize conclusions today before reporting tomorrow (July 2).

On reports of an individual named Jit filing charges at Thung Song Hom Police Station, Arthit said he was unaware. Regarding Jit's complaint against someone named Som, Arthit welcomed the revelation and emphasized the need to identify the mastermind behind the scheme. He reiterated having no acquaintance with anyone named Jit, described as being involved in local political circles.
