Police Raid Apartment, Seize Heroin Package And Drug Evidence
Police raided an Ayutthaya apartment on July 4, seizing heroin, drug-manufacturing materials, and cash linked to a suspected drug distribution network operating between Bangkok and the provinces.
Police led by Deputy Police Commissioner Pol. Gen. Samran Nualmaa conducted a raid at 3 p.m. on July 4, 2025, at an apartment in Khlong Suan Plu, Ayutthaya Province, to search a suspected drug distribution hub. The investigation targeted a man named Uthai, who wore a blue hoodie and allegedly delivered a heroin package to a female flight attendant named Mina at a condominium in Bangkok's Bang Na area on June 22.
During the search, officers discovered eight elephant-patterned fabric pieces that had not yet been sewn into bags, along with numerous fabric scraps cut into strips with white powder residue. Forensic specialists collected the powder samples in sealed bags for laboratory analysis to determine the substance type. The search also recovered large amounts of cash in thousand-baht bills, a mobile phone, a wallet, clothing including blue short-sleeved shirt and denim shorts, and a backpack believed to belong to Uthai from the day he delivered the heroin package.
All evidence has been collected and submitted for detailed forensic examination, with particular focus on fingerprints found in the room and analysis of the white powder from the fabric scraps. Investigators are also tracking financial records and examining data from the confiscated mobile phone to establish connections and expand the investigation against all individuals involved in the drug trafficking operation.
