YouTube siblings Yipsy and Yipso are taking a break from their channel to seek treatment for depression, panic attacks, and stress-related physical health issues, hoping to inspire others facing similar struggles.

YouTube Siblings Take Break for Mental Health Treatment
3h ago Khaosod

YouTube siblings Yipsy Keerti and Yipso Ariyakanta announced through The Gyps Channel that they are taking a break from their show to receive treatment for both physical and mental health issues. In a tearful video filmed on the way to meet doctors, the pair explained they need to seriously address their wellbeing and want to share their experience to support others facing similar struggles.

Yipsy has been diagnosed with moderate to severe depression after a relapse. She noted that in recent video clips where she seemed emotionally unstable, doctors had just confirmed her depression diagnosis, and she is currently on medication that affects her speech.

Yipso explained that she has been experiencing physical weakness for an extended period due to significant stress accumulated over the past year. She emphasized that recovery is not simply a matter of deciding to heal—underlying lifestyle patterns and stress responses need to be addressed. Recent hormone testing revealed deficiencies in sex-related hormones, likely stemming from prolonged physical and mental strain without proper treatment.

Yipso revealed that her latest symptoms include panic attacks. She described waking from sleep feeling like she was dying, a sensation that emerged nine months after giving birth and continues despite ongoing recovery efforts. Severe fatigue and emotional instability have compounded the issue, with panic attacks now officially diagnosed. She emphasized that those who experience panic attacks understand the overwhelming sensation she cannot fully explain. After seeking psychiatric care and undergoing additional hormone testing, she discovered significant hormonal deficiencies across multiple hormones related to reproductive health.

Yipso acknowledged that while some symptoms come and go, the accumulated stress over the past year—both from physical strain and prolonged mental distress without treatment—has exceeded what her body can handle, now significantly affecting her body's chemical balance.

Zlatan Praises France's Composure Against Paraguay

Zlatan Ibrahimović praised France for maintaining composure during their 1-0 World Cup victory over Paraguay, who employed aggressive tactics and provocations throughout the match.

Zlatan Praises France's Composure Against Paraguay

Zlatan Ibrahimović, a former Swedish national team striker, has praised the French national team for their patience in enduring the provocations and unsporting behavior of Paraguay's players.

France narrowly defeated Paraguay 1-0 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32 match. During the game, Paraguay faced heavy criticism for attempting to employ tactical tricks, but the French team refused to be drawn into their game and even responded with smiles.

Following the match, Zlatan Ibrahimović shared his thoughts and expressed admiration for France, saying:

"It was a huge challenge for them today. It's mostly about keeping your head and not getting drawn in by the provocations, trying to stay calm and composed, not losing your balance by falling for their tricks that they were pulling off.

It's difficult work. If it were me, I would have gotten four red cards from this match and probably would have sent someone off too. But that's what happened. I prefer to play the real game. I don't like when someone comes to provoke you—it's part of the game but it's not part of the game.

But France showed composure. They stayed relaxed. They did what they needed to do. They smiled back at them. That's the best way to respond—smile, score goals, win the match, go to the fans and celebrate. That's the best way to respond."

China continues to solidify its position as a global robotics technology leader following UBTECH's launch of the Uworld U1, a new humanoid robot with remarkably human-like appearance and movement. The company has announced plans to begin industrial-scale production, marking another major milestone in robotics and artificial intelligence development.

The Uworld U1's defining features include both lifelike appearance and functionality, available in male and female models. The male version stands 183 centimeters tall while the female version is 169 centimeters, but both weigh only about half as much as humans of comparable size, enabling fluid movement and efficient energy use.

The robot comes equipped with biomimetic skin that replicates both the appearance and tactile sensation of human skin. It features a Dual-Pivot Biomimetic Cervical Spine that mimics the human neck's vertebral structure, allowing it to execute human movements and postures with up to 90% accuracy, making all gestures appear natural.

For communication, UBTECH developed a proprietary facial expression control system that synchronizes speech with lip movement with latency under 20 milliseconds, creating conversations that feel natural as speaking with another human.

Beyond appearance, the Uworld U1 uses a large language model (LLM) that UBTECH describes as the world's first emotion-recognizing AI system designed for long-term companionship. It can analyze and distinguish over 20 emotional patterns with accuracy exceeding 90%, enabling appropriate responses to users' emotions.

UBTECH designed the U1 Series for diverse applications including daily companionship, emotional support, reception and customer service, eldercare, preliminary psychological counseling, exhibitions, research, education, and premium home service work.

Market response has been exceptionally strong, with the company reporting over 10,000 orders already received, reflecting rapidly growing market demand. Pricing ranges from 565,000 to 4,900,000 baht depending on functions and equipment configurations.

UBTECH expects to begin delivering the first batch of robots in mid-September. If on schedule, the Uworld U1 could become another significant milestone pushing humanoid robots from laboratories into widespread real-world applications and commercial use.

Chiang Mai — Border patrol officers maintained pressure on drug trafficking networks, intercepting a fleeing pickup truck and seizing 5.2 million pills while arresting one suspect involved in the operation.

On July 5, 2025, border patrol units executed government policy to combat drug trafficking in the region. Intelligence from border patrol unit 335 and military forces indicated that a criminal gang would smuggle drugs through the Mae Taeng District area, using routes from Baan Muang Kong in Chiang Dao District before moving inland.

Lieutenant Colonel Wirawat Tayung, commander of border patrol unit 335, was briefed that the trafficking group would stash drugs in Mae Taeng District awaiting pickup by financiers. Given the large quantity involved, a comprehensive enforcement operation was authorized. Officers from the drug suppression unit began surveillance on June 2, 2025, and by 4:30 a.m. on July 4, they spotted the suspected black four-door pickup truck in Pong Saeng Thong village, Mae Taeng District.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver escaped, abandoning the truck. The operation resulted in one arrest, and the vehicle search uncovered 23 sacks containing methamphetamine pills: sacks 1-21 each containing approximately 226,000 pills stamped with "999"; sack 22 with 254,000 pills; and sack 23 with 200,000 pills stamped "Y-1". Total seizure reached approximately 5.2 million pills.

Under questioning, the suspect admitted he was hired as a guide to check checkpoints from Wiang Haeng and escort the drugs into Mae Taeng District, awaiting transfer to another recipient. He was offered 5,000 baht compensation. The suspect and evidence are being held at the Regional Border Patrol Command for further investigation and to track other gang members involved.

Water Heater Tops Thailand's Energy Guzzlers List

Water heaters consume far more electricity than air conditioners, topping Thailand's Energy Ministry ranking of household power hogs and costing up to 47 baht per hour to operate. Experts recommend regular maintenance and energy-efficient m

Water Heater Tops Thailand's Energy Guzzlers List
4h ago Khaosod

Thailand's Energy Ministry has ranked the top 10 most electricity-hungry household appliances and calculated their hourly operating costs. Contrary to common belief, air conditioners do not top the list.

As living costs surge, understanding household appliance energy consumption has become increasingly important. The Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency under the Energy Ministry has compiled the ranking with hourly electricity cost estimates to help people make informed decisions about their usage patterns.

Top 10 highest electricity-consuming appliances per hour:

1. Water heater: 2,500-12,000 watts, averaging 10-47 baht per hour

2. Washing machine: approximately 3,000 watts, averaging 12 baht per hour (one 2.5-hour cycle costs about 30 baht)

3. Air conditioner: 1,200-3,300 watts, averaging 5-13 baht per hour

4. Electric iron: 750-2,000 watts, averaging 3-8 baht per hour

5. Rice cooker: 450-1,500 watts, averaging 2-6 baht per hour

6. Electric stove: 200-1,500 watts, averaging 0.80-5 baht per hour

7. Vacuum cleaner: 750-1,200 watts, averaging 3-5 baht per hour

8. Toaster: 800-1,000 watts, averaging 3-4 baht per hour

9. Hair dryer: 400-1,000 watts, averaging 2-4 baht per hour

10. Microwave: 100-1,000 watts, averaging 0.40-4 baht per hour

The figures provided are averages and may vary by brand, model, and local electricity rates. However, they reveal that leaving water heaters on during long showers or frequently ironing small loads are major hidden culprits behind high electricity bills.

Experts recommend choosing appliances with a 5-star energy efficiency rating and maintaining equipment regularly—such as cleaning air conditioner filters or descaling water heaters. Proper maintenance reduces appliance workload and saves money long-term.

Southgate Hopes England Overcome Azteca Stadium Ghosts

Southgate Hopes England Overcome Azteca Stadium Ghosts
4h ago Khaosod

England manager Thomas Southgate hopes to lead the Three Lions past the pain of World Cup memories at Estadio Azteca, where Diego Maradona's infamous "Hand of God" goal eliminated England in 1986. England faces Mexico in the Round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup at the same symbolic stadium where they suffered a 1-2 quarterfinal defeat to Argentina four decades ago. The match is notable for Maradona's infamous "Hand of God" moment, when the Argentine legend used his hand to score against England. As England prepares to return to this stadium for the first time in 40 years to face Mexico in the 2026 World Cup Round of 16, Southgate said: "The moment you walk in, you feel the excitement and emotion instantly. I can feel immediately this will be a true World Cup match tomorrow." Southgate acknowledged the historical pain, stating: "We know already. We are in an iconic place, an iconic stadium. It hurts. It still hurts. But we did not come here for revenge." He added: "It is the same stadium, but not the same opponent. It makes no sense. We are here to write our own chapter."

Gang Of Six Attacks Contractor With Knives, Baseball Bats
4h ago Khaosod

A contractor was attacked by a gang of approximately five to six armed men while sitting drinking in front of his home in a residential community in Uthai District, Ayutthaya Province. Four men were injured in the assault, with two in serious condition.

According to Udomsakdi Nari, 27, one of the victims, he and seven fellow contractors who install sprinkler systems were drinking after work in front of their residence when a group of men approached armed with machetes and baseball bats. Without warning or explanation, the attackers immediately began assaulting them. The victims fled for their lives, resulting in four injuries, two of which were serious.

Udomsakdi stated that his group had no previous conflict with the attackers and were unaware of any reason for the assault. They were simply drinking quietly and causing no disturbance.

The wife of one injured man recounted witnessing the attack, including seeing her boyfriend beaten with a baseball bat. She observed another victim, Adul, face-down on the ground being stabbed repeatedly in the back. She pleaded with the attackers to stop, but they continued their assault before fleeing.

Local residents who witnessed the incident reported seeing a woman retrieve what appeared to be a firearm and tuck it into her waist during the chaos, though they could not confirm any transfer of the weapon or definitively identify a gunshot. One loud sound resembling a gunshot was heard, but authorities are still investigating whether it was an actual firearm discharge.

Residents also disclosed that the alleged attackers regularly gather to drink and are known for aggressive behavior, often intimidating passersby and drivers, creating a climate of fear in the community.

Closed-circuit camera footage from the residential community captured the assault, though the camera angle prevented clear identification of the perpetrators' faces. Another camera recorded the group sitting drinking at a tent in front of the residence prior to the incident. Police continue their investigation of the crime scene and evidence.

Ukraine Escalates Strikes on Russian Oil Infrastructure
4h ago Khaosod

Ukraine has stepped up its operations, with President Volodymyr Zelensky announcing that a major oil storage facility in Saint Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city, was struck by Ukrainian forces on the evening of Saturday, July 4. Zelensky emphasized that the facility is critical infrastructure generating revenue that funds Russia's war effort. Ukraine's military described the depot as one of Russia's largest oil storage facilities, capable of producing up to 12.5 million tons of petroleum products annually.

In addition to the oil facility attack, Ukraine also targeted a major naval base of Russia's Baltic Fleet in Kronshtadt, located approximately 30 kilometers west of Saint Petersburg. The Baltic Fleet is Russia's oldest naval organization and command structure.

Saint Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglazov confirmed a "major" drone attack, acknowledging that the oil facility was indeed hit, though he reported no casualties.

Over recent weeks, Ukraine has intensified long-range drone strikes aimed at Russia's critical energy infrastructure, resulting in widespread fuel shortages. Ukrainian officials report that the attacks have reduced Russia's oil production capacity by nearly 43 percent. Ukraine maintains that oil refineries and natural gas facilities in Russia are legitimate military targets because Russia depends on fuel exports to sustain its war operations.

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged fuel shortages caused by Ukrainian attacks—a rare admission—and subsequently signed legislation last Saturday to accelerate fuel supply increases on the domestic market.
