Food Delivery Rider Breaks Into Sisters' Bedroom at Night, Commits Indecent Act; Victim Fights Back and Kicks Motorcycle Over During Escape
A food delivery rider broke into a Cha-Am home and groped an 18-year-old girl as she slept in May; the victim kicked over his motorcycle to stop his escape and police arrested him, though the family was alarmed when he reappeared delivering
On May 25, a 45-year-old father reported that his daughters, ages 18 and 17, were attacked by a man dressed as a food delivery worker who rode a white Honda Wave motorcycle with Phetchaburi license plates. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM on May 19 when the man entered their bedroom, sat beside the bed, and groped the older daughter's chest as her younger sister slept nearby. Both girls screamed and called for relatives who rushed in and detained the attacker. The man fled toward his motorcycle, but the older daughter kicked it over to prevent his escape. Her father then emerged and subdued him until police arrived to make the arrest.
The older sister, identified as A, recounted that she felt hands groping her chest and immediately screamed, startling the attacker who ran out. She chased him to the front of the house and kicked his motorcycle over as he tried to mount it. Her father, who slept in an adjacent room, heard the screaming and came out to find his daughters standing with the man and his fallen motorcycle. The attacker claimed someone had sent him and asked him to visit the room, but the family did not believe him and filed a police report.
The father explained that he was sleeping nearby when he heard his daughter's piercing scream. Upon rushing out, he found both girls with the intruder at the front of the house and his motorcycle on the ground. When he asked the man what he was doing, the attacker claimed someone had sent him, but the father did not believe this excuse and called police. The relatives of the suspect attempted to convince the father not to press charges, but he refused and proceeded with a full legal case, taking both daughters to Cha-Am Police Station to file an official complaint.
Most alarmingly, just 1-2 days after the arrest, the daughters spotted the same man riding the same motorcycle delivering food around Cha-Am town. This sighting has terrified the family, who now fear for their safety and are concerned that he may reoffend. They expressed grave concerns about why he was released so quickly and are determined to pursue the case to its full conclusion, noting that the situation could have been much worse if the attacker had been carrying a weapon.
