Actresses Ling Ling Kong and Om Kornnaphat have responded candidly to fan concerns about limited promotion for their series "Drawing Dreams of a Wedding Day," which has gained considerable momentum. Speaking after a press conference for the "Grab Amazing Thai Rares" campaign at Hualamphong Railway Station, both actresses acknowledged wanting more promotional opportunities and revealed that their network has listened to feedback and begun adjusting their schedule.

With two episodes aired, the series has received strong fan response. Ling Ling expressed joy, noting that the entire team is pleased with the positive feedback and that director Khun Jaew is delighted. Om agreed, saying the series turned out better than expected during production despite the physically demanding filming.

Fans have shared numerous memes, particularly from a drunken scene. When asked if Ling Ling should stay drunk every episode, she joked that it would cost her her job and urged fans to keep watching.

Regarding a romantic scene in episode two where Om's character makes the first move, she teased fans to watch and find out, noting director Khun Jaew elevated the intensity. Both actresses praised the director's work and expressed gratitude for positive comments about their acting improvements.

Addressing the scheduling controversy, Ling Ling emphasized understanding all parties involved—fans, management, and the network—and advocated for respectful communication rather than drama. She acknowledged that she felt promotion was insufficient even for their previous series and now hopes to appear on more shows when scheduling allows. The network has already begun accommodating these requests with increased appearances.

Om added that both actresses are eager to promote their work after months of intense filming. Ling Ling confirmed the network is listening and that programming has already expanded. She also committed to being more active on social media if fans wish.

Regarding their upcoming fan meeting tour starting in Khon Kaen with four stops nationwide, Ling Ling teased new atmosphere and well-selected music. Om joked about saving on accommodation by staying at Ling Ling's house.

Paipaipai Balances Racing Dreams With Entertainment Career

Entertainer Paipaipai Oreo is balancing a busy career across music, business ventures, and motorsports, with racing podium finishes as his 2026 goal while remaining open to entertainment opportunities.

5h ago Khaosod

Paipaipai Oreo isn't stepping away from entertainment—he views everything as a growing experience while dedicating himself to racing training with hopes of reaching the podium. The multi-talented entertainer appeared at The Viral Hits Love Moment Awards 2026 (Pride Month Edition) at Aksara Theatre, King Power on June 30, confirming he continues balancing entertainment work with motorsports and business operations.

He's preparing to release new music and has set his sights on podium finishes in racing competitions this year, committing to intensive training and self-improvement. At the same time, he emphasizes he hasn't closed the door on performing opportunities, remaining open to learning and developing his craft further if offered by senior professionals.

When asked if his workload remains heavy, Paipaipai explained: "I still have racing competitions and occasional event work. People think I've turned my back on entertainment to focus on racing, but I'm still accepting projects here and there. The important thing is I get to enjoy camping trips."

On managing multiple ventures, he shares: "I juggle everything. Right now I have a glamping site, products, two drink shops, event work, and music projects. I'm about to release a new song and I take things one step at a time, dividing my time accordingly."

He maintains some work-life balance: "I do have rest periods. I work about 2-4 hours, then rest. This year I want to reach the podium. Right now I'm almost at the back of the pack—still not moving forward much."

Regarding his racing training, he's intensifying his preparation: "More practice, more homework, and some physical training."

When asked if fans are worried, Paipaipai shares: "They used to worry a lot. Now I tell them wherever I need to be for good weather conditions, that's where I should be to advance quickly. I've learned new techniques—when cars collide ahead, we instinctively want to exit, but we can brake slightly and zigzag forward. I'm in my third year of racing and I've already won one award."

He's experienced accidents but views them as learning moments: "I've had incidents, but nothing that hurt my body. Car collisions are normal. (Doesn't that discourage you?) No, it's another step forward—conquering fear with courage. Once in Chiang Mai, a tire came off the rim, but I kept driving carefully. Everyone pointed at the pit crew saying I wouldn't make it, but I wanted to cross the finish line to collect points, though I did finish near the back."

On his mindset behind the wheel: "I get a little scared, but I keep pushing. Once you're at the wheel, you just feel like going forward. Go!"

For unexpected situations, he relies on instinct: "I use personal intuition. Sometimes when we go straight and cars collide ahead, we can't predict which way they'll turn, so I observe and dodge using quick thinking."

Senior racers have taught him important lessons: "They've taught me to use mindfulness—you have to control your own focus to stay on point. (So your racing isn't just about speed and fun?) They encourage me to practice and maintain mental control."

Racing has changed him significantly: "A lot. When I focus on something, I feel energized and driven forward. But behind the wheel, I'm calm. I feel I've changed inside myself—I'm much calmer. (When you get out of the car?) I go crazy. You can find clips of it if you want."

On other work opportunities: "Series work? I'm not closed to it. I'm ready to learn. If anyone gives me an opportunity, I'm prepared to learn and develop myself. Right now I'm in concert rehearsals and focusing more on business."

He doesn't see past challenges as limiting his choices: "No. Everything is an experience that helps us grow."

Woman Jailed 13 Months After Duped Into Carrying Cannabis

A Thai woman spent 13 months in a Hong Kong prison after scammers duped her into unknowingly carrying over 2 kilograms of cannabis through the airport under her name, but charges were eventually dismissed after her family and the Thai Consu

5h ago Khaosod

A 31-year-old woman named Cindy came forward on July 1, 2025, to share her cautionary story after becoming one of the victims arrested in Hong Kong. She was detained for 13 months in Hong Kong prison for cannabis found under her boarding pass name, despite having no involvement in drug trafficking.

Cindy recalled events from approximately two years earlier when a scammer, posing as a "friend of a friend," befriended her and joined her on the same trip. At the airport, the scammer used psychological manipulation, claiming their own baggage exceeded weight limits and asking Cindy to help "share the baggage weight." Trusting and believing it was normal traveler practice, she agreed to help.

Cindy explained that the scammer took her to the baggage counter personally. Exploiting her unfamiliarity with the process, the scammer used her boarding pass to scan and add an extra bag to her account. This made the airline system register the bag under Cindy's name and legal responsibility.

When the plane landed in Hong Kong, the truth emerged during thorough baggage inspection by airport officials. Although her personal luggage contained nothing illegal, the additional bag registered to her boarding pass contained over 2 kilograms of cannabis concealed inside cocoa containers.

Just as officials grew suspicious, the actual smuggler managed to grab the bag and flee the airport. However, Hong Kong airport police caught up and apprehended the scammer. But Cindy was immediately detained because the airline system clearly showed she had loaded the bag containing the cannabis herself.

"I was terrified and confused. We had nothing in our bag, but Hong Kong authorities relied on documentary evidence linked to my name. It was a very complicated international case," Cindy said.

Her life turned upside down. She was taken to a dark detention room at the airport, then transferred to a police station, and eventually imprisoned while awaiting trial. She was denied bail.

Moreover, because her physical appearance didn't match her government documents (title), Hong Kong prison regulations required her to be held in solitary confinement, isolated from other inmates in psychiatric isolation. She had no chance to meet other Thais, faced extreme loneliness, and cried every day in fear of the potential 10-25 year sentence warned by prison officials.

Fortunately, her family, friends, and relatives in Thailand didn't give up. They gathered evidence to the best of their ability and coordinated to send documents confirming her innocence to the Thai Consulate in Hong Kong. Consulate officials visited and provided care within legal limitations, though they could not intervene in court proceedings. They could only wait for the investigation to conclude.

After battling the case and being detained for 13 months, on March 3, 2024, Cindy's lawyer delivered good news: Hong Kong prosecutors withdrew the charges and the court formally dismissed the case. All evidence, including airport CCTV footage, clearly showed she had been deceived by the scammer and was not involved.

Manager's Obsession With AI Threatens Workplace Culture

A manager's excessive reliance on an AI chatbot to make all workplace decisions has sparked debate about AI's proper role in business, with employees warning that blind trust in AI predictions harms team morale and decision-making quality.

6h ago Khaosod

The advancement of artificial intelligence technology has made work faster and more efficient, leading many organizations to adopt AI for data analysis, business planning, and decision support. However, this raises an important question: does excessive reliance on AI harm human work performance?

The issue gained widespread attention after an employee posted their experience on Reddit, describing their manager as having "AI Psychosis"—an excessive obsession with and blind trust in AI. The manager became so fixated on Anthropic's Claude AI model that they treated its answers as the final standard for all decisions and refused to listen to team members' input. The post quickly went viral online.

According to the poster, the manager would display Claude conversations during every meeting, insisting the team meet performance targets and results predicted by the AI as if those were the only correct answers, despite AI's inability to fully understand customers, market needs, or project-specific conditions.

Problems arose when work results didn't match the AI's forecasts. Instead of reconsidering AI's limitations, the manager blamed employees and repeatedly asked the AI what went wrong. Without clear answers, they concluded the problem lay with the team.

The employee acknowledged that watching their manager become increasingly dependent on AI was concerning for both the manager's mental health and the organization's atmosphere. They felt exhausted working to satisfy the AI rather than serving customers, suggesting people should sometimes step away from screens and rely more on human reasoning.

After the story spread, many social media users shared similar experiences. Several reported that executives use AI to make all decisions, from performance reviews to business strategy, diminishing experienced employees' input. Some revealed CEOs asking AI "what's wrong" with incomplete data, causing AI to generate faulty answers that prevented project approvals, froze product development for months, suspended marketing budgets, and created financial problems. Others received AI-generated reports dozens of pages long critiquing company-wide employee performance.

This sparked renewed debate about AI's workplace role. Many argue that AI should serve merely as an analytical tool supporting decisions, not replacing human experience, judgment, and understanding. Ultimately, the best decisions require both real-world data and technology working together.

Body Found After Barge Explosion in Samut Prakan

A man missing since a barge explosion on June 30 near Bangkok was found dead in the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan, with his wife confirming the body as her 55-year-old husband on July 1.

6h ago Khaosod

A man who disappeared during a barge explosion has been recovered as a body from the Chao Phraya River. At 11 a.m. on July 1, police at Phra Samut Chedi station in Samut Prakan received notification from residents about a floating body near Samut Saming Canal in Lam Fa Pha subdistrict. Officers coordinated with hospital medical personnel and foundation divers to investigate the scene along the Chao Phraya River. The body was found face-down in the water wearing a dark blue long-sleeved shirt, black and orange-striped sweatpants, and black boots—matching the description of someone from the barge that exploded around midday on June 30 near a dock opposite Soi Suksawat 84. The body was retrieved and brought to Wai Iam Prachami pier for family identification.

Suthini, age 54, arrived to confirm the body was her husband, Samarthit, age 55, who had been on the barge during the explosion and went missing with it. After foundation divers searched since the previous day without finding him, local residents discovered the floating body before police were notified.

An examination of the body revealed a laceration on the back of the head approximately 5 centimeters long and 3 centimeters deep, and another wound approximately 2 centimeters long and 1 centimeter deep near the left tailbone with bleeding. The body showed signs of prolonged water submersion, with decomposition suggesting death occurred at least 24 hours prior. The body was sent for autopsy.

Suthini, the deceased's wife, stated that her husband had boarded the barge yesterday morning at the dock opposite Soi Suksawat 84 with his sister, who had been operating the vessel for about two weeks. They had video-called that morning, but she had noticed him appearing sad for the previous two days without knowing why. She had suggested they perform merit-making together once he finished work, but before that could happen, she learned he had drowned.

Director Tom Reveals Spicy Food Thriller Concept

Director Tom Wattanathep's culinary thriller "Morte Cucina" premiered in Bangkok after winning acclaim at international film festivals, with the filmmaker explaining how Thai food became a central character in a tale of murder through cooki

6h ago Khaosod

Director Tom Wattanathep's latest film "Morte Cucina" has been creating buzz well before its theatrical release. The award-winning Thai filmmaker combines Thai culinary arts with an intense narrative, reuniting with world-class cinematographer Christopher Doyle and featuring an ensemble cast including Bella Buaeng, Kritsana Sripoomi, Peter Napatchai Chainam, and Tadanobu Asano.

On June 30, 2569, a premiere screening was held at Paragon Cineplex in Bangkok's Siam Paragon mall. Prior to the screening, director Tom and the cast shared insights into the film's creation.

When asked about the premiere experience, Tom expressed excitement: "I was excited. We forgot this day would come. Finally we get to show it to audiences. We thought we'd just have fun making it and call it done, but here we are. No matter how many films you make, you still get nervous. Experience doesn't really help."

Regarding international audience reception, Tom noted: "Mostly positive. The film debuted at the 73rd San Sebastián International Film Festival in Spain, a place famous for its food culture and home to more Michelin-starred restaurants than anywhere else in the world. It fit perfectly with our film. After that, we screened in several countries—Japan and Taiwan both have strong food cultures—so audiences there really loved it. The response was quite good. The film came to Thailand later than hoped because there were so many Thai films competing for release slots. We had to pull some strings to get in," he said with a smile.

Regarding expectations for Thai audiences, Tom added: "I have expectations but won't say them to the media or people just laugh. The world has changed. This generation wants films that challenge them. But our films challenge audiences all the time. If we challenge someone and they can't handle it, but this generation can. Hopefully we'll do well with this one."

On incorporating Thai cuisine into the narrative, Tom explained: "Thai food isn't just inserted into the story—it's a main character. The film's idea originated from reading a news story about a woman who killed her husband through cooking. In that case, she used poison and got caught, making it big news. So we thought, how could someone kill their husband through food without getting caught? We consulted with several chefs. They said, 'How many years would you want him to die in?' Then they designed a menu."

When asked how the cast came together, Tom responded: "Like lightning striking mud—nice people just came together. Casting is always risky for me, either it works or it doesn't. I've never felt confident after casting someone. So I had to talk with each actor individually. Bella said she's very confident. Kritsana said the same because the script he read he could chew and absorb into himself. And Peter—no need to mention him—I'm confident in him. But he might not be confident in me," Tom smiled.

Police Warn Delivery Rider to Come Forward or Face Arrest

Police are seeking a delivery rider who brought a package to a Thai airline hostess on June 22, warning he must come forward or face arrest charges for alleged involvement in heroin trafficking.

6h ago Khaosod

At 11:30 a.m. on July 1st at the ONCB's Din Daeng office, Deputy Police General Suriya Singhakmol, secretary of the ONCB, revealed that a male motorcycle rider captured on CCTV on June 23 delivered a package to "Nong Mina," a Thai airline hostess, at a condominium. However, this is not the same rider who delivered the heroin package mentioned in earlier reports.

Suriya disclosed that from reviewing additional CCTV footage, the vehicle used to deliver a package to the flight attendant on June 22—which police suspect and want to interrogate—is a dark-colored car, though the brand, license plate, and route remain unclear as they are needed for the ongoing investigation.

Police are requesting the rider involved to cooperate and provide information to the ONCB immediately before authorities escalate to issuing an arrest warrant. If the person continues to remain silent and uncooperative, they will face charges.

Police are coordinating closely with the Metropolitan Police Bureau and the Narcotics Control Board to track CCTV footage throughout the area to identify the vehicle that delivered the drug package on June 22 and determine its connection to drug trafficking sources and where the shipment originated.

Regarding the earlier announcement stating a Grab rider delivered the package on June 22, Suriya clarified that information came from condominium management records. However, police have not fully verified this claim.

It is possible the heroin-containing package may have been sent through a different courier company, as packaging boxes can be purchased at regular shipping shops and then sent to recipients.

When asked whether the actual rider would face charges for not coming forward, Suriya stated that if the person was involved and intentionally concealed their role in the drug delivery, they would be guilty. However, if they come forward in good faith, provide complete documentation, and prove their innocence, they would face no charges. He appealed to anyone who knows the suspect to encourage them to come forward quickly.

Police have clear footage of the vehicle that delivered the drug package to the condominium and plan to release images to the public for tips. If the person continues to evade authorities, police will proceed with issuing an arrest warrant.

When asked whether Thai authorities can assist if Australian prosecutors drop charges due to insufficient direct evidence linking the case to international drug trafficking, Suriya said he does not want to look that far ahead at this stage. The flight attendant remains a suspect as she directly carried the drug shipment to Australia. Justice will depend on the completion of Australian authorities' proceedings first.

Teen Arrested For Stealing Rambutan, Two Others Flee

One teenager was arrested with stolen rambutan in Mae Hong Son after police caught three suspects fleeing a home in Muang District; two others remain at large.

6h ago Khaosod

Mae Hong Son City Police received a report from a homeowner that teenagers had climbed over the fence to steal rambutan fruit. Officers arrested one suspect with stolen goods, while two others remain at large and arrest warrants are being prepared.

On June 30 at 10:50 p.m., the Mae Hong Son Provincial Police 191 emergency center received notification of a burglary in Moo 5, Pang Moo Subdistrict, Muang District, Mae Hong Son Province.
